Bhringraj

Bhringraj plant is an herbal plant, which is commonly known as “False Daisy” or “yerba de tago” and scientific name of this plant is “Eclipta prostrata”, “Eclipta alba” that belongs from family of “Asteraceae”. In Bengali it is known as “Bhringraj”. It blossoms white colored flowers with so many petals and its leaves are green colored. Its cylindrical roots are grayish in color and this plant is blooming in early Autumn to early Winter. Whole parts of this plant are useful for medicinal or any other purpose. This plant is used for treatment of liver, hair fall etc and also used for eczema, athlete’s foot treatment. It is an anti-dote of snakebite and it is really good for hair fall or scalp problem. It is good for headache and skin diseases. It also used for treatment of hearing problem. It is a very useful plant.

In moist and well-drained soil, it grows very well and fastly.
