Bahada

Behada plant is a very important herbal or medicinal plant. Behada is commonly known as “Vibhitak”, “Bayeda”, “Haritaki” or “Aksha” etc. This plant belongs from family of “Combretaceae” and scientific name of this plant is “Terminalia bellirica”. In late Winter leaves are fall down and it blooms flowers in Summer season; fruits are ripening in season of Winter. Flowers are white or yellowish in color and fruits are yellowish or greenish colored in unripe condition but brownish in ripen condition. Fruits of Behada plant are round in shape and it is a fruit that is like a seed; its shape is different after drying. It is used as pickles and foods; it is especially used in medicinal purposes. This is used for treatment of diabetes, heart problem, skin disease, digestive problem or urinal problem. Behada is good for health; it is good for treat of fever, ulcer etc. It also used for traditional purpose by hindus people.
