Anthurium (Flamingo Flower / Tail Flower)
Anthurium is a perennial, indoor and flowering plant, which is known as “flamingo flower” and “tail flower” as its common name. From “Araceae” family, this flower belongs and its scientific name is “Anthurium andraeanum” and “Anthurium scherzerianum”. The colors of its small flowers are like red, pink, white, cream and green etc; if it is eaten by anyone then it can be poisonic. Leaves of this plant are large, green, dark green and black in color and heart shaped. This plant needs bright sunlight but direct sunlight can be harmful for its growth and it must be need shade. Regular watering is important in warm season and in winter season it needs water twice or trice in a week. Anthurium loves moist all times and its root must be imposing under soil. Temperature of this soil must be over 15°C and this type of plant loves warm weather. Regular liquid fertilizing can be used for growth of this plant and it must be repotting every year.
