Foxtail Palm

Foxtail Palm is flowering plant that belongs from “Wodyetia” genus and family of “Arecaceae”. Scientific name of this plant is “Wodyetia bifurcata”. It is an ornamental plant that helps to decorate indoors, outdoors, and lawn etc. This plant blooms white colored flowers; it produces fruits, which are green colored in unripe condition and in ripe condition it is red colored.

Foxtail palm trees are not choosy in soil but it must be well-drained soil; standing water is harmful for this plant growth. Full of sunlight is good for this plants growth and poor frost is tolerant by this plant. Heavy frost is harmful for this plant growth. Poor watering is preferable by this plant. In Winter season it needs very little watering is preferable and in Summer it needs once or twice watering is acceptable by this plant. Fertilizing once or twice in a year is good for this plants growth.
