Calathea (Peacock Plant/Prayer Plants)
Calathea plant is known as “Peacock Plant” and “Prayer Plants”, which is belongs from “Marantaceae” family. It is an indoor and foliage plant; scientific name of this plant is “Calathea lancifolia” and “Calathea makoyana”. It is shaped like feather of peacock and it is green and red in color.
As all indoor plants, this plant needs quite sunlight not direct sunlight. It needs shade for it’s growing and it being faded in leaves color at noon. High humidity is good for this plant growth and “between 15°C to 20°C” temperatures is adoptable by Calathea plant. It needs moist soil and regular watering for this plant growth like three or four days in a week. Well-drained soil is essential for its growth and it needs regular fertilizing obviously liquid fertilizer for its well growth.
