Coleus

Coleus plant is an indoor plant, which is known as “Solenostemon scutellarioides” as its scientific name. It belongs from family of “Lamiaceae” and it is a colorful foliage type of plant. Coleus plant are like croton plants; leaves of this flower is very colorful like green, purple, orange, red and yellow etc. Flowers of this plant are purple or violet in color.

It needs sunlight for its fast growing, but it must be need to avoid sunlight of midday. Color of leaves can be fade by over sunlight and it needs moist soil in Summer. But in Winter it needs less water than Summer season. It needs temperature above 15°C in Summer season and in Winter season it needs almost 10°C temperature. In growing season, for its fast growth it needs liquid fertilizer once or twice in month. It must be placed in basket or containers for its fast growth.
