Chirata plantis a herbal plant that is a flowering plant and this plant is popular in India. Belongs from family of “Gentianaceae”, that is scientifically known as “Swertia perennis”. Common name of this plant is “felwort”, “Clearing Nut Tree”, “Bitter Stick” and “Chirette Indian”. Flower of this plant is blue and purple in color. Medicinally its seed is an important properties and it s used for treatment of malaria, cancer, skin diseases etc. It is bitter in flavor and taste; this makes a type of tonic, which is very useful for liver, heart and eye. Root of this plant is use for guiding vomiting. Chirata is use for producing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
