Ashwagandha
Ashwagandha plant is a type of herbal plant that is commonly known as “Winter cherry”, “Indian ginseng” and “Poison Gooseberry”. In Bengali and Sanskrit it is called “Ashwagandha” and scientific name of this plant is “Withania somnifera” that belongs from family of “Solanaceae”. This plant is a flowering evergreen plant that has green colored leaves;white, yellow, greenish andpinkish colored flowers. It is used for make medicine and its root bears medicinal properties.
Ashwagandha plant is an easy growing plant that prefers sunny area for its growth and this plant loves warm weather that can tolerate temperature ‘between 20°C to 35°C’. Organic fertilizer is preferable for this plant growth and in drought time it needs watering mostly either natural rainfall is acceptable by this plant in its growing time. Watering twice or trice in a week is good for this plant growth.
