Amla
A popular herbal plant Amla plant is a deciduous plant that is commonly known as “Indian gooseberry”, “Bhumi amla” and “Amlaki” etc. Amla is scientifically known as “Phyllanthus emblica” and this plant belongs from family of “Phyllanthaceae”. This plant is also a flowering plant; flowers of this plant are yellowish or greenish in color. Fruits of this plant are yellowish colored and it is hard fruit. Amla plant is used for make medicine and as treatment of scalp. This plant is also used for making shampoo and wood of this plant is used for fire work.
Amla plant loves warm temperature like it can tolerate above 40°C temperature; but when this plant is flowering then it needs medium temperature. This plant grows in any kind of soil but not in sandy soil. In Summer season this plant prefers watering during monsoon. Over watering is harmful for this plant and in early Winter it also needs regular watering. This herbal plant needs organic fertilizer for its fast growth.
