Cactus is known as ornamental plant. Cactus plant is a member of the plant family Cactaceae. Cactus plants are deserted plants, which are grown up in most temperate region. Cactus word came from Greek word (kaktos). It is a leafless type plant, which needs hot temperature. Its stems are juicy, spiny and maybe flute in shape. So quiet type of cactus have leaves. Cactus have fine roots and so long to the ground surface. Cactus has a root power that it conserves water from ground surface. Cactus has variable flower, and some cacti have no flower.

Cacti distributed from coastal plains to high mountain areas. And cacti are also finding in tropical region.

Cactus has many of uses like food of human, animal. Some cacti use for herbal medicine. The woody parts of cactus are use for furniture.
